Now under the new ownership, this beloved East Galway pub has recently been refurbished and features cosy, small, snug areas that are perfect for pints and craic. All guests can enjoy live music on Saturday evenings, great food and drinks in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Leonard Catering Group are bringing with them the same high quality and expertise they have become so well known for and Lydon’s Bar now offers both a delicious new food menu for the restaurant and fantastic selection of handmade cocktails.

After nearly 50 years of the bar being in her family, Martina Lydon has stepped back from a business that her father purchased in 1975 and left it in the good care of Galway’s Leonard Catering Group. Lydon’s Bar & Restaurant comes with a special connection to the group as Managing Director Aiden Leonard got his first job there many years ago. The Leonard Family also have deep roots in the surrounding East Galway area, making it the perfect addition to the group.
